( Bali , Indonesia ) --- On December 16 th , 2005 Bali Hilton International celebrated its Christmas Lighting Ceremony at the Sunken Lobby. The event marks the start of the hotel's Christmas and New Year Celebrations this year entitled a �Party in Paradise �

The Christmas Lighting Ceremony began in 2001 and has become an annual event at the hotel. Each year selected hotel guests and business partners are invited to cocktails and canapés as the hotel's Christmas lights are officially illuminated. In addition each year the children of the Orphanage of Ebenhaizer are invited to sing some Christmas Carols and help General Manager Mr. Ian McKie throw the switch that turns on the lights . This event marks one of the highlights of the year for the orphanage children and they spend many weeks practicing their repertoire of Christmas Songs. The hotel provides all the kids with a snack supper and a Christmas gift as a memento.
