(Nusa Dua, Indonesia, October 02nd, 2005) - On 01st, October 2005, Bali faced another bomb attack bringing back the sad memories of Year 2002, on the “same month” encounter. This time, the bomb was planted in the busy vicinity of Kuta and Jimbaran Bay, which is located about one and the half hours away from the Nusa Dua area.

Bali Hilton, located at Nusa Dua has checked and ensured all of its in-house guests count is as per registered, and everyone staying with the Hotel is fine, and did not physically go through this unfortunate incident.

This sad news has caused lives of many innocent people, and a lot severely injured too since it happened during dinner time. We believe the Police and Military Force is acting on the necessary steps to ensure the Bali environment is in order and this matter is under full investigation right now.

This bomb attack is taken seriously by the Hotel and as a pre-caution which is an on-going practice at the Bali Hilton, we have further raised the level of security awareness. The Hotel has also coordinated with local police to provide immediate and proportionate support in terms of manpower and logistics. After having gone through the aftermath of 9/11 and the previous Bali bombing incident, Bali Hilton has beefed-up its security systems (including CCTV monitors), procedures and, apparatus had been significantly modified and improved. All of these procedures have remained in place.
