PATA Dinner at The Bali Hilton International

On April 15, 2003 Hilton in Indonesia which comprises; Jakarta Hilton, Jakarta International Convention Centre, Surabaya Hilton and Bali Hilton International played host to PATA delegates at a barbeque Dinner at The Bali Hilton International.

The participants were welcomed by couples wearing traditional attire from each Hilton Hotel as well as by the management of Hilton in Indonesia. The Grumbungan, a traditional Balinese giant cowbell orchestra flanked the entrance and greeted delegates with their unique music.

The setting was the beautifully decorated Beach Garden and the full moon hanging over the stage and ocean provided a stunning backdrop. Among the 470 participants were Mr. Ardika, Indonesian Minister of Culture and Tourism and Bali Tourism Director, Mr Pitana, and most of the committee and delegates from the PATA conference.

The dinner was selected by Hilton International in Indonesia as the perfect opportunity to launch their new image campaign and motto : "Dedicated to Delivering Excellence"

The event certainly created a stir with many of the delegates talking about it the following day even Ms. Sheila Leong, Managing director-event PATA headquarter, had good words to say "It's the best culinary specialties, lavish hospitalities and a great dance band " Her opinion was shared by many others some even venturing to say 'best ever'.

Although this event was for 470 people the Beach Garden at the Bali Hilton can accommodate up to 1600 guests in comfort and with the backdrop of the Ocean it is considered by many as one of the choice locations for a large private dinner in Bali.
