The Bali Hilton International team will represent Indonesia in The MLA Black Box Regional Cooking Contest Winners, which will be held during the 30th World Congress +World Association of Cooks Societies, Kyoto, Japan, 24 - 25 March 2002. The contest will feature 11 WACS Asian member nations (Mauritius, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, China, Singapore, Sri Langka, Hongkong, Indonesia, Thailand). The competitors are to create western dishes from a set of mystery box ingredients.

The Bali Hilton International won the gold medal at the Indonesia Final MLA Black Box Culinary Challenge held during Food, Hotel & Tourism Bali - 2002 on January 31 - February 2, 2002 which was attended by Aston Hotel Jakarta, Borobudur Hotel Jakarta, Holiday Inn Bandung, Le Meridien Bali, Sheraton Lagoon Nusa Dua, Bali Hilton International.
